The Session India Pale Ale (Session IPA), or India Session Ale (ISA), is basically a session-strength take of the standard hop-dominant profiled American IPA, showcasing modern American or New World hop varieties and usually ranging from 3.0-5.0% ABV. It is differentiated from American Pale Ale by typically being lower in alcohol and usually having more hop-dominant profiles and generally have less body than a standard IPA. Color ranges from golden to light orange-copper although many substyles exist, each having their own color tone. These other Session IPA substyles generally are closer-related to their base IPA substyle and should be listed with them, if the substyle is listed.
